Post aus dem Buckingham Palace

Eine besondere Postsendung flatterte Jevgenia aus der Klasse 7d kürzlich ins Haus. Aus London, England. Auf dem Umschlag war gut erkennbar das Monogramm CRIII angebracht, daneben ein Stempel mit der Aufschrift „Buckingham Palace“. 

Wie kam es dazu, dass Jevgenia Post vom König und der Königin des Vereinigten Königreiches erhielt? Als begeisterte Englandkennerin und Fan der ‘Royal Family’ hatte sie zur Krönung am 06. Mai 2023 eine Glückwunschkarte an King Charles und Queen Camilla geschrieben und die bedankten sich prompt per Post. 

Das sagt Jevgenia selbst zu dieser Überraschung: 

Why did I write to King Charles?

My huge interest in the Royal Family inspired me to write a letter to His Majesty for the Coronation which happened earlier this year.

I waited for 4 months till I got an answer from His Majesty, King Charles and Her Majesty, Queen Camilla.

Actually, I got it several days before I went on holiday to London and Windsor Castle with my family.

It was very special and delightful to get an answer from an actual king.

I am very thankful for every single person who helped me in raising my interest in the United Kingdom and The Royal Family.

What happened to me has shown that you can reach your dreams: I believed in my dreams and myself and just like that you can believe in your dreams and, of course, yourself.
